A veteran Jewish and LGBTQ professional, Ethan Felson is an activist, attorney, and author. He currently serves as the executive director of A Wider Bridge, which mobilizes the LGBTQ community to fight antisemitism and support Israel and its LGBTQ community. AWB's most recent campaign is Queers Against Antisemitism, addressing the horrific rise in attacks against and harassment of members of the Jewish community and the Post October 7 erosion of safe spaces for queer Jews, especially those who support Israel. QAA has rapidly emerged as a movement from all segments of the LGBTQ community that recognizes that a conflict across the world should not be imported to diminish the safety of Jews anywhere.
Previously, Mr. Felson served as the executive director of the Jewish Federations of North America’s Israel Action Network (IAN) where he helped local Jewish communities navigate their Israel advocacy efforts, and as senior vice president and general counsel for the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, where he staffed the agency's policy development, interfaith activities, and legal affairs including participation on dozens of amicus briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court. He has also served as the associate executive director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford where he served as Jewish Community Relations Council director.
In addition, Mr. Felson has contributed articles to numerous publications, such as the Gay City News, Washington Blade, and the American Jewish Yearbook. He earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut after obtaining an undergraduate degree from Lehigh University.
